I teach Jon Kabat Zinn’s pillars of mindfulness by applying practical tasks and coping strategies to all areas of life. I help build awareness of how our body and mind can hold us back, how it can struggle with modern stresses and how to overcome this.

Six week courses

This fully funded program by the National Lottery is accessible through social prescriber referrals.  The coursehas been designed to build awareness and coping strategies, and rebuild self-esteem. Self-referrals are possible but we create groups with similar circumstances to create powerful learning and peer support.

If you find stress, anxiety, depression, chronic illness, or carers fatigue weighing on you, sign up for this course to learn how our brain works. Be introduced to the pillars of mindfulness to slow down the inner critic and regain control over your life.

The range of strategies offered will reflect the people in the group and their challenges so they can pick what resonates with them. Finally, learn creative arts therapy activities to bring calm to your life.

This program is created to give long-term results and new healthy habits for better mental health and general wellbeing.

Activities will take work and personal commitment, strengthening accountability so progress can be seen. I include creative art therapies to apply the learning. These techniques respect the reality of our modern life and its extreme pressures.

Art meets nature

This is a time for us to reconnect with nature, tap into our creativity and make time to self-care. Our creative sessions explore how the natural world can inspire us to reconnect with ourselves and others. Being aware of a change in the sessions as well as in our life, exploring mark-making from plants, making collections for walks to draw inspiration from. Nature provides us with an endless source of materials, ideas and joy.

This short course of 4 weeks, 3 hours each, is based on nature, inspired by looking closer at the nature surrounding us and the season in progress. All activities will bring mindfulness into art, taking natural elements and creating designs from them, allowing us to slow down and look deeper.

This is a weekly (canon Downs Viallage Hall) or monthly (Godolphin Cross Old Chapel) art group with a difference, where arts, crafts meet with mindfulness and creative arts therapy. We tap into a range of techniques to slow down our brains and life in general whilst creating art and at the same time, learning to regulate emotions.

The techniques change and blend with each other into what we call “process art”. The high point is the process of letting the stress go at the door. Participants are encouraged to try new things, nudged enough out of their comfort zone, and enough to build confidence. It is an open- ended making and creating journey that some are now taking back home and exploring with. Many outcomes will be pleasing but they are secondary to the experience. No art experience is needed as each activity will offer a range of levels.

Conversations are gentle and tap into my art, therapy and mindfulness knowledge. This group is a regular activity to build self-esteem, calm and strength as well as creating peer support and building stronger communities, this reducing social isolation. This is becoming a peer support group where members have become friends and sometimes organise activities together outside of the group.

Creative writing retreat

This is a space to "be", a space to develop an authentic voice, collect moments, words and inspiration. We will carve time to linger, notice and capture the colours of your life. Exercises will embrace a conscious type of writing, including mindfulness, breathing, grounding and connection.

This retreat gives a special time to step back and spend time in nature, cultivate awareness and nurture your relationship with creativity. Looking at neuroscience, we will explore resistance and how to overcome it, building rituals and creative expression. We are carving time to bring stillness, space and silence into a creative cycle where presence and alignment will follow.

These sessions are tapping into mindful creative writing and journaling processes to reduce stress, improve wellbeing and develop a personal style for 4 days spaced out over 4 months. We welcome like-minded writers into the room to develop a personal and authentic voice and some budding friendships.

One to one support sessions

One to one support sessions to develop personal goals, heal past trauma and develop confidence through mindfulness and holistic creative arts therapies.

My approach is holistic, bespoke and supportive of you. We create a plan together from your needs and circumstances and work together towards empowering you to work on your dreams.

Root-Cause Therapy sessions

One-to-one support in person or over video calls to heal limiting beliefs. These sessions are called root-cause therapy. The aim is to go back to the root cause of some emotions that caused limiting beliefs that hold you back in life.

This intuitive therapy allows healing and growing strength without having to delve into traumatic events. This is especially important for anyone who is suffering from PTSD and repetitive trauma and abuse. Each person will heal all events connected to a specific belief creating new learnings and inner confidence.
